Pre DSI
Around 1996 Reaper started getting into the undernet scene with a group of enthusiastic computer geeks and hackers named MaLiCe. This group was led by a hacker named RainMan™,
and their crew's website was located on GeoCities. It was designed exactly like Gecities error (page not found) page. It was ingenious, as Geocities never found it to shut it
down, as they did with any other site of the same type. At quick glance it was just an empty directory... but if you started clicking Geocities links... such as chat... it took
you to our chat rooms. After getting too much shit from people for a black hat group name, and RainMan's dissapearace it was renamed EclipsE and was led by JoeSnow™ with help from
Reaper who also adopted the ™. At that time EclipsE was composed of JoeSnow™, Reaper™, Alex Amazing™, Max™, Xarn™ and FreaXter8 & RainMan™ eventually lurking in the shadows helping out
here and there.
| The Đarkness |EclipsE eventually grew apart from lack of productivity. This is where Reaper™ started his own project and founded The Đarkness with friend AIRwalker, then adopted
the EclipsE crew as a special team of his own organization to help keep them active. As to keep the history going The Đarkness made it's first site on geocities with the new error page
as a template. Just as before the organization went unoticed and untouched by Geocities staff. EclipsE grew like a wildfire eventually reaching around 25 members... males being "The §layers"
and the females being "The Ĺngels" of Đarkness. =) Corny eh? Yeah whatever. lol Anyways... The Đarkness grew too fast to even handle and fell apart completely with the dissapearance
of Reaper™ from the internet. When he returned most of the members were lost forever and never relocated. Some had split off into their own little organization which failed miserably and they
returned back to The Đarkness. Once things got settled and re-organized, The Đarkness started making it's own software. Biofreak was the head programmer releasing such programs such as
The Đarkness port scan (the only program to survive the ages), it was ugly as hell, but worked perfectly, so it was an even trade. >=) The Đarkness had many supporters across the undernet such
as EliteHackers.net, HcV, Legion 2000, EliteHackers.com, Spymodem.com, Progenic Warefare, etc... and an alliance was made. Reaper™ and The Đarkness were even mentioned on some of the more famous hacks
of the times on the defaced pages such as the ones on [
Hack-Net.com ] , [
New-Line.org ] and [
CyberArmy.com ] done by HcV.
DSI is Born
After a bit of The Đarkness winding down, around 1998, it was time for a new outlook and new face for the organization. Reaper™ staged his own dissapearance, and renamed all of his accounts Encrypted Data, and
contacted The Đarkness members to gloat over his "hack". It was met with alot of hostility from the crew members that were loyal to Reaper™, and laughed at by one of the crew who was not loyal. *cough* dylix *cough*
fuckin bastard *cough* =) Anyways... TweaK went balistic and started DDoS'ing "Encrpted Data" until I admitted to my real identity to calm him down. lol So Encrypted Data was born from the ashes of Reaper™
and The Đarkness was destroyed in the process and hence Data Storm Industries was born. Things started getting serious and Data Storm started releasing programs such as Secure It! (a screen locking program),
Total Destruction (file shredder)and a Packet Utility (OOB, TCP, ICMP, and +++ATHO) with ability for custom packet info, all programmed by Biofreak. TweaK was working on a new innovative trojan virii (Demise)
but the project was never finished. How ironic project Demise met just that... heh. Oh well. So Data Storm was getting serious about its work but no real place of its own? This didn't sit well with anyone and its first
official site was purchased on July 9th, 1999. www.Data-Storm.com Finally a professional domain name of it's own. One week later Storm Systems Inc. contacted E.D. and wanted to purchase the domain for its own use. After weeks
of negotiating E.D. drew up the paperwork to sell it off. =( For $3K though! The paperwork was done and signed... then a week later Storm Systems emailed that thier company was bought out and the new owners did not want the domain after
all. Thank God! Otherwise we might be named something else right now. =) *whew* What can I say... I paid $35 for it and a week later was offered $3,000! Thats 8571.43% profit in a week!!! I'm only human! And at the time
a teenager wanting some cash! lol Oh well, I am glad it fell through honestly. Oh and it seems my Data Storm name caught on extremely quit becuase NetZero (yeah those morons) bought Data-Storm.org and tried to sell it to me, lol.
Well I let them have it until they got tired of it, then I bought it dirt cheap. HA! In your face NetZero. And Data-Storm.net was bought by some hackers in the U.K. led by [Terror][Byte] of Digital Phobia, which I bacame friends
with. Due to things in Encrypted Data's life he moved away to Silicon Valley in California and was stuck with no internet access for almost a year. No need to say what happened there... the downfall of Data Storm, thats what! When he
got back online... evrything was gone. Crew, friends, everything. Doh! BioFreak was lost in history and still never located. The EclipsE division of DSI was gone. HcV and Legion 2000 seemed to have fallen off the face of the planet.
It seemed everything was lost and must be rebuilt.
The Revival
Everything lost, Encrypted Data started working on the web by himself, slowly relocating the people lost. TweaK, Elysium, and FireBird were located and reinstated. New people were recruited such as PPDTrunks, dot, and WhizKid (previously AIRwalker).
So a small crew was formed and the site was redone. Word spread quickly around the net of Data Storm and was brought back in touch with E.D.'s younger brother who he had not spoken to in years. Blood of Avatar of EliteHackers.net fame.
The two teamed up and Data Storm was adopted into The Zonis Empire. A powerful group of hackers forming a type of internet government and militia. Unfortunately this goverment fell apart and Data Storm was back on it's own with many members of
the Empire joining Data Storm after Zonis fell. These members included krod, TTVersion, and Discipulus. Later even Blood of Avatar himself joined Data Storm and released reborn Data Storm's first program. DSTP (Data Storm Transfer Protocol).
After a few more months some members came and went, which brings us pretty up to date with DSI. The site has been redone to more of a corporate look and much more professional looking. The forum was born and an instant success within the DSI
family and it's allies. A new alliance was born and website launched at www.Hacker-Alliance.com. This is one of DSI's current projects and with the support of the newest members since founding (Cyber Mafia and HackTheBox) it is slowly growing
larger and gathering more supporters.
The Future
I cannot tell the future... but Data Storm is growing stronger and stronger by the minute. We are quickly making a name for ourselves and releasing many new programs to aid in everyone's daily computer use and security. Keep an eye on us. I hope
you will support us in our cause and sign up for our forum and help others learn. That is our goal and the goal of The Hacker Alliance of course... Infect Knowledge... Worldwide. Thank you for listening to me ramble on. For now I am done. Glad
to have you on our site... and I hope you enjoy your stay.
